Exponents and Scientific Notation

Exponents are not really hard you just need to know what you are doing. All you need to do is get some multiplication fact that has all the same numbers in it(3x3x3x3). Then you count the numbers(4) and that is your exponent,or power. Your base is simple it is just your number that you are multiplying by itself (3)Exponents There are two words in exponents and they are base, and exponent. The base is the bigger number which is the number that you are multiplying by itself, and the exponent is the smaller number and it is the one that is the number of times you are multiplying the base.
