Factors and GCF

Factors are a number that goes evenly into another number like 8 goes into 16 so 8 is the factor. How to find factors is really simple you just get a random number like 36 then check if it is even, which 36 is, that means that one factor of that number is 2. The way to find more factors of that number is doing that number divided by other numbers and by itself so you would get 36, 18, 12, 9, 6, 4, 3, and 2. Now, to do GCF you need 2 numbers,21,36, then you find the factors of both and compare them.The highest number in both of the columns is your GCF. Examples
